All this time everything connected with hiking remained a hobby for me. The main business is a small IT company STARTLAB which works out software, launches, and develops startups and businesses. It happened that our entire team had the same basic life principles and values. In 2018, it was decided to develop a tourist destination. For this purpose, the company attracted investment for development of the "smart glampings" project, the company "CampingPark" was founded, the
trademark Jewelberry™ was registered, and the domain
www.jb.camp was purchased.
We spent all the year of 2018 searching for land and trying to launch a glamping park in Primorye, but we did not succeed for various reasons. Therefore, at the beginning of 2019, it was decided to launch the project abroad.
Having analyzed 30 countries by 15 different significant indicators,
we chose Georgia for the first park. For example, with the same land value the tourist flow in Primorye is 800 thousand people per year, and in Georgia — 9.3 million (for 2019).
